Jane was raised in the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Elkhart (Indiana) and began attending All Souls when she moved to Indianapolis in 1980. She signed the membership book in 1984 and was married at All Souls by the Rev. Ed Harris in that same year. She has sung in the All Souls choir ever since she first started attending, and her two sons, Nick (32) and Rob (29) Ready, grew up in the RE classes at All Souls.

Along with dedicating many years to the choir, Jane has served on the board, been a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Team, worked in the Butterfly Garden, served on the Ministerial Search Committee that brought our first female minister to All Souls, Rev. Anastassia Zinke, and she also served on the Interim Search Team that brought Rev. Joel Miller to serve as our Interim Minister. Jane has attended 3 UUA General Assemblies (Louisville, Columbus, OH, New Orleans) and has recently attended (virtually) the UUA’s Jubilee anti-racism training.

Jane has worked for J.C. Hart Company since 1997 (24 years!), first as the Administrative Assistant to the President/Owner, and for the past 10 or so years, as Director – Corporate Communications. Jane loves to travel and is committed to anti-racism work. She believes her knowledge of All Souls and professional skills will be valuable to the Board and to the All Souls community as we look forward to this year of transition.
